About Malviina
Malviina advises domestic and international clients on complex commercial dispute resolution matters before general courts and arbitral tribunals.
Malviina has particular expertise in international arbitration, where she has represented clients in high-value disputes under the rules of leading arbitration institutions, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), and the Finland Arbitration Institute (FAI).
Malviina has extensive experience in cross-border disputes spanning a broad range of industries and contractual frameworks. She has represented clients in disputes relating to major construction and infrastructure projects, renewable energy (such as wind farm development), the supply of critical industrial equipment, shareholder arrangements, corporate liability, and post-M&A matters. Her caseload often involves complex technical and commercial issues, and requires a strong command of strategic and procedural aspects.
Beyond active dispute resolution, Malviina advises clients on pre-dispute risk management and dispute avoidance. She assists clients in identifying and managing legal exposure before disputes arise – often in challenging and time-critical circumstances – and provides early case assessments to, for example, support settlement negotiations or inform sound commercial decision-making. Malviina also represents clients in mediation proceedings.
In addition to commercial dispute resolution, Malviina advises clients and represents them in corporate crime matters, including occupational safety offences and tax fraud.
Malviina serves as the Vice President of the International Arbitration Commission of AIJA, the International Association of Young Lawyers, reflecting her active engagement in the international arbitration community. She is also an active member of the Young Arbitration Club Finland (YACF).
