Meri Tirkkonen

Meri advises our clients on dispute resolution, representing national and international clients in a wide range of matters and proceedings before Finnish courts and in arbitration. She has experience in both domestic and international arbitration as well as civil and commercial court proceedings, and has also acted in criminal proceedings.

Before joining the Dispute Resolution team, Meri worked in our Intellectual Property and Technology team, where she advised clients on diverse IP and technology matters and gained considerable expertise in intellectual property and patent litigation within the pharmaceutical and technology sectors. In addition, Meri has been involved in M&A transactions conducting due diligence and advising on matters related to intellectual property, IT, and commercial contracts.

Meri joined Borenius as an Associate in 2023, and before that she worked at the firm as a trainee. She has also gained legal experience as a trainee at another Finnish business law firm. In addition to her studies at the University of Turku, Meri has studied law at the University of Verona, Italy.
