Valtteri Heikkilä

Valtteri advises our clients on matters concerning litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on complex disputes arising from large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects. Valtteri has experience in disputes concerning YSE, FIDIC and KSE standard terms, and in arbitration proceedings conducted under FAI, ICC, LCIA and SCC rules.

Valtteri has acted as counsel in redemption proceedings under Chapter 18 of the Finnish Companies Act, and in criminal proceedings concerning the liability of companies and their representatives.

Valtteri joined Borenius as a trainee on the Dispute Resolution team before becoming an Associate in 2023. He has previously worked as a trainee at another Finnish law firm where he also advised on construction-related disputes.

During his studies at the University of Helsinki, Valtteri took part in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and has coached the University of Helsinki team in the competition on multiple occasions. Valtteri is an active member of the Finnish Arbitration Association and Young Arbitration Club Finland.
