Borenius advised Intera Partners as it raised a new EUR 450 million buyout fund

We advised Intera Partners on the formation of its fifth fund. Closed swiftly after launch at its hard cap of EUR 450 million, well past the EUR 375 million target size, the fund is the largest Finnish buyout fund. Through the new fund Intera will continue its strategy of investing in Finnish and Swedish entrepreneur-led services and technology companies with the potential to become large, internationally successful companies.

The fund attracted an international investor base – investors include domestic and international pension funds, foundations and funds of funds. While the majority of capital commitments come from investors that have invested already in previous Intera funds, a substantial part of the commitments to the oversubscribed fund was raised from new investors.

Intera is a leading Finnish private equity firm with a focus on growth investments in the Nordic mid-market buyout segment.  It has a nearly 20 years’ track record of scaling local Finnish and Swedish companies into Nordic leaders, having made a total of 37 investments and approx. 500 add-on acquisitions. Among others, Intera has invested in Kreate, PHM Group, Cervi, Rantalainen, Renta and Roima.

Borenius also advised Intera on the formation of the three precedessor funds in 2021, 2016 and 2011.
